When a teacher is away

Approved leave turns straight into the list of classes that need cover.

  • Every period left without a teacher, in the order the day happens
  • Teachers free in that period, those who teach the subject first
  • Assign cover in one tap, on the web or the phone
  • Tomorrow’s cover needs are flagged today, so mornings aren’t a scramble

Changes for one day

Not every change is permanent.

  • Date-specific substitutions, cancellations and room changes
  • A reason for each: exam duty, school trip, meeting, training or a swap with a colleague
  • Changes cannot be made for days the school is closed

The principal sees the gaps

The dashboard says how many periods today have no teacher — for example, 9 of 80.

  • Who is away, and how many of their periods are covered
  • Classes with no teacher appear in the principal’s list of what needs attention
